Zora Snake
Choreographer and performance artist Zora Snake blends urban dance with the customs and traditions of his village in Cameroon to invent an artistic language that travels across different spaces: urban public spaces, museums, stages...
He is also the founder of the company that bears his name and of the Modaperf International Biennial in Cameroon.
His performative, transgressive, political, poetic and ritualistic works, most of which are conceived in his village, explore territories and question the world.
His latest pieces include L’Opéra villageois (2021-22) and Shadow Survivors (2023).
As a performer, Zora Snake collaborated with Serge Aimé Coulibaly.
Zora Snake is currently working on his next creation, Combat de Lianes (2025).
